Harmony House 2019
Members delivered school supplies to Harmony House.
Mr. Nick's All Inclusive Playground
The Club participated in Burgers and Beers to raise money for an all inclusive playground at a local elementary school. The event was held in honor of former teacher Mr. Nick who recently passed away. The Club sponsored a live and silent auction and wine grab, raising $5,000 for the project.
Day of Caring 2019
Volunteers spent the day painting at the Boys & Girls Club as part of United Way's Annual Day of Caring.
Kiwanis Baseball 2019
Students from the Boys & Girls Clubs enjoyed a free baseball camp at the Springfield Cardinals facility with local college and high school coaches and the Ozarks Generals.
Valentine's Bags were delivered to Harmony House.
Boys & Girls Club
Club volunteers participated in the 2018 Boys & Girls Clubs festival by assisting the kids with several outdoor activities.
Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowling
Two teams of volunteers participated in the 2018 BB/BS Bowling event, donating $600 to the cause.
Kiwanis Trivia Night
Join us on November 17 to help raise money for a Christmas party for the special needs students at Delaware Elementary School.
Summer started off with a free baseball camp for kids attending the Boys & Girls Summer program. Over 60 kids arrived bright and early at the Springfield Cardinals stadium for baseball lessons.
Boys & Girls Club Donation
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield received a check for $6,799 to purchase a PA system for the sports complexes, sports software, and baseball gear, awards and medals.
Springfield Christmas Parade 2018
Springfield Kiwanis and Key Clubs participated in the 2018 Christmas Parade.
Boys & Girls Club Book Giveaway
The kids at the Boys & Girls Club were treated to new books of their choice. Each child received a book, along with snacks.
Delaware Elementary School
School supplies were delivered to Delaware Elementary School, our year-round partner.
Kiwanian of the Year
Anita Palmer received the 2017 Kiwanian of the Year at a recent banquet. Anita was instrumental in the success of a major fundraising event and baseball camp.
2017 United Way Day of Caring
The club donated reading supplies to the RSVP Reading Buddy Program of Council of Churches.
2017 Kiwanis Baseball Camp
The club hosted its second annual baseball camp for the Boys and Girls Summer Program. Over 80 kids signed up to learn baseball techniques from area university coaches and players and the Ozark Generals.
2017 Cans for Kids
Club members collected nonperishable food items at Price Cutter on May 6. Six barrels were collected and donated to the Salvation Army.
2017 Harmony House Service Project
The Division 13 Kiwanis Clubs came together to complete projects prior to the opening of the new Harmony House location.
2016 Boys & Girls Club Donation
The Club presented a $6,000 check to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield from proceeds from the Kiwanis Baseball Celebration. These funds will be used to better their baseball program.

Les recently received the 2015-16 Member of the Year Award for his exemplary service toward helping children in our community.
2016 United Way Day of Caring
Members volunteered in August 2016 at Harmony House, a local shelter for battered women and children, helping with maintenance at their facility.
Cans for Kids
As part of the 2016 Kiwanis One Day celebration, a food drive was held in April to collect nonperishable food items for the food pantry of the Salvation Army.
2016 Kiwanis Baseball Celebration
A Kiwanis Baseball Celebration raised money for a summer baseball camp for the Boys & Girls Clubs. Mayor Stephens presented a resolution proclaiming April 1, 2016, as Kiwanis Baseball Celebration Day.
Free Little Library
Residents of a local neighborhood can now enjoy the giving and receiving a books for all ages. The club purchased, installed and stocked the new library.
2016 Christmas Parade
Members from the Springfield Kiwanis Clubs and Key Clubs participated in the local Christmas parade, sharing the Kiwanis spirit.
Bell Ringing for the Salvation Army
An annual treat for club members is the bell ringing for the Salvation Army. Club members were in full force that day.
Special Needs Children Meet Santa
The annual 2016 Delaware Elementary School Christmas party was full of fun and festivities. Special needs children and support staff enjoyed a yummy lunch provided by the Ramada Oasis Hotel, and a special visit from Santa who delivered gifts for all the children.
United Way Day of Caring
Volunteers spent an afternoon in August 2015 at Harmony House deep cleaning and helping with other projects as needed.
50 Years of Perfect Attendance
Bob Vienhage was recognized at the 2015 Mo-Ark Kiwanis District Convention on August 1 for 50 years of perfect attendance. Joining Bob is Club President Gayla Jones, Kiwanis International President Dr. John Button, and Tim Blake.
Meals for Boys & Girls Clubs
Over 22,000 meals were packaged during the 2015 Kiwanis Convention Service Project. Hope International provided all the ingredients and packaging to complete this task. Boys & Girls Clubs across Missouri and Arkansas are the recipients of these meals. Simply adding hot water will provide a nutritious meal for six. Kiwanis International Trustee Barb Thompson joined our club's team.

Members gathered together on an early morning Saturday to clean our stretch of South Kansas.
Rare Breed Picnic
It was a warm day for a picnic, but the teens enjoyed an afternoon of swimming and lunch provided by the Rare Breed. Club members showed up to cook and serve the meals. Can you tell which one photobombed?
Welcome New Members
A May 2015 Membership Drive signed seven new members. We're excited to welcome Anita Palmer, Brad Burgess, Kelly Cox, Connie Craven, Jay Sims, Les Harris, and Chad Wasson.
Dinner at the Rare Breed
Homeless youth were treated to a special BBQ dinner and treats from the club. Members gathered to serve dinner, tour the facility, and mingle with the teens.
Club Donates Play Center
One of our proudest moments was the dedication of a universal play center in the Jenny Lincoln Park on South Jefferson. Members raised $100,000 and partnered with the Springfield-Greene County Park Board to make this happen.
